Jesus helped blind people be able to see again. He caused deaf people to hear again. People who had evil spirits, Jesus treated them. The Book of Matthew also discusses Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem where the Last Supper took place with the disciples. Judas is one of Jesus’ disciples and there is an indication that Judas will deceive Jesus. Jesus predicts that after his death, the other disciples will flee, and Peter will also betray him. The gospel of Matthew also discusses Jesus’ crucifixion, his arrest and the resurrection. Matthew as a tax collector he is also called Levi. Matthew wrote his gospel for the Jewish people. Several times he uses the word “fulfilled” to prove that Jesus was the promised Messiah spoken of by the Prophets. Throughout this gospel of Matthew Jesus had many marvels come to him. Acts The genre of this book is narrative. The themes that are seen through Acts are The Holy Spirit, apostolic authority, resistance to Christianity, and Evangelism.
